sphingolipid biosynthesis, and the process relies on the ceramide trafficking protein (CERT),
which contains pleckstrin homology (PH) and StAR-related lipid transfer domains. The
CERT PH domain specifically recognizes phosphatidylinositol 4-monophosphate (PtdIns (4)
